A number of centers we visit participate in charity functions – this helps to bring some fun into the center (motivation), helps with team building and also gives something back to the community. For example, one major bank has a regular ‘charity day’ where members can ‘dress down’ and an agent who participates pays a small amount to charity – say a dollar or two. Other centers get involved in national fundraising events such as ‘comic relief day’ in the UK – volunteers take donation calls. Other ideas could include doing some sponsored challenges with your team to raise funds.
All these sort of activities are great for you, your staff and the community. Lastly, make sure your center gets some publicity in the local press as it also helps to raise your company profile and help attract new staff!
